Ordinary plug/jack connections can become unstable, resulting in annoying static and signal loss. Plus, many cables offer little protection at the soldering points, causing premature failure. Planet Waves cables have special compression springs that allow the plug to positively lock into the jack, elimination any annoying static. The plugs also have a flexible polymer overmolded at the soldering point, and offer maximum protection and supreme strain relief.
